NFR Winners & World Champions: Recent Titles, History & Results
Schedule & Results
NFR round wins, Finals average titles and world championships describe different achievements. Use the correct category and year when comparing a competitor’s record.
The latest completed championship year
The 2026 Finals have not taken place as of October 29, 2026. The official past-winners page lists the following 2025 world champions. These are completed-season titles, not predictions for the upcoming Finals.
| Championship | 2025 world champion |
|---|---|
| All-around | Stetson Wright |
| Bareback riding | Rocker Steiner |
| Steer wrestling | Tucker Allen |
| Team roping — header | Andrew Ward |
| Team roping — heeler | Jake Long |
| Saddle bronc riding | Statler Wright |
| Tie-down roping | Riley Webb |
| Barrel racing | Kassie Mowry |
| Bull riding | Stetson Wright |
A look back at the 2024 champions
| Championship | 2024 world champion |
|---|---|
| All-around | Shad Mayfield |
| Bareback riding | Dean Thompson |
| Steer wrestling | J.D. Struxness |
| Team roping — header | Tyler Wade |
| Team roping — heeler | Wesley Thorp |
| Saddle bronc riding | Ryder Wright |
| Tie-down roping | Riley Webb |
| Barrel racing | Kassie Mowry |
| Bull riding | Josh Frost |
Team roping lists header and heeler separately because those are distinct championship positions. The table should not be reduced to one generic team-roper title.
Round winner, average winner or world champion?
A round result describes the outcome of one performance. The average combines performance over the Finals under the rules of the discipline. The world championship race includes the season rather than only the last night or the best highlight.
An athlete can have a significant round victory without winning the average or year-end title. When reading a headline, inspect which achievement it describes. The broadcast’s round graphic, average leaderboard and world standings may all show different leaders at the same moment.
How to read results during the 2026 Finals
- Check that the result is for 2026.
- Identify the event and round number.
- Distinguish the round placing from the average standings.
- Check the world standings separately.
- Look for any official correction before sharing a final claim.
Scores, times, penalties and earnings are different fields. Do not compare them without the relevant event rules. For the payout structure, see our 2026 prize-money guide.
Historical records need a defined category
“Most titles” can mean all-around titles, one event’s world titles, total world titles or Finals average championships. Those categories should not be blended into a single number. Similarly, a record for a ten-round aggregate is different from a season-earnings record.
Use the organizer’s past-winners archive and PRCA or WPRA official records when checking a historical claim. Our Las Vegas history article provides context for the city’s role without presenting an unverified all-time ranking.
Winners and results FAQ
Who are the current completed-season champions?
The 2025 names are listed above from the organizer’s past-winners page. The 2026 titles will be decided after the upcoming competition.
Is an NFR average winner always the world champion?
They are different measures. Check the final official records for both.
Why are heading and heeling separate?
They are separate team-roping positions and championship standings.
Where should I check a disputed result?
Consult the dated official result and any correction from the organizer or governing body.
